Nxai Pan National Park is located to the north of Maun at Nata Main Road and borders the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park in Northern Botswana. Nxai Pan is defined by a sporadic forest of Acacia trees and Mopane woodlands and after wet season, the salt pans turn into grass wonderlands. Rainy season is one of the greatest times to visit the park, so as to witness how the pans waterhole attracts herds of wildlife.
The main waterhole in Nxai Pan is a breathtaking and spectacular point to patiently view this community of wildlife and it is just as outstanding in the dry season.
